ON THURSDAY MARCH 16TH, THE CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSION VOTED 4 TO 1 IN FAVOR OF DESIGNATING THE DERBY, IN ITS ENTIRETY, AS A HISTORIC CULTURAL MONUMENT OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES.

SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL, THE DERBY IS AN OFFICIAL LANDMARK!!!

A huge Save the Derby thank you to everyone who wrote an email in support of saving the Derby.  The response was overwhelming.  Hundreds of letters almost overnight! 

(If you still have the urge to write statements of support, send them to us at
SavetheDerby@yahoo.com  - - we will collect them all and bring them with us when we need them. 

SIGN OUR ONLINE PETITION 

The best way to Save the Derby?  Protect it as an official City Landmark!  This is the real deal folks, this is when the Derby really needs you.  Landmark status is our best hope for saving this beautiful, historic building - the last original Brown Derby restaurant still standing.  The Derby is a landmark in our hearts, to Save The Derby we must make it a Landmark on paper.  Please help!   (To read a copy of the Derby Landmark nomination or to learn more about the landmark process click here. )
